2020 CERES SCHEDULES & FARE Cebu to Bacolod / Bacolod to Cebu

I only travel from Bacolod to Cebu and Cebu to Bacolod by bus because, among other personal reasons, it is cheaper than spending around ₱1500 for an airline ticket. I travel every month and to keep this as accurate and reliable as possible, this post will always be updated whenever I’m at the Bacolod or Cebu terminals. So feel free to bookmark this page for your future reference 🙂 If you want to know the full details of the trip, check out my travel guides. If you are only here for the schedule, then continue reading below.

Bacolod-Cebu Ceres bus (45-50 seats)
Bacolod-Cebu Ceres bus (47 seats)

There are five different bus routes that travel between Bacolod and Cebu but the Don Salvador route is the quickest one. The other routes are via Escalante-Tabuelan, via Escalante-Toledo, via Canlaon, and via Mabinay. Their corresponding schedules and fares are also listed in this article.

The total fare for Cebu to Bacolod via Don Salvador is ₱580.00 while Bacolod to Cebu is ₱585.00. The Ceres buses are air-conditioned and there are trips every day. Some of the bus units also have functional restrooms. They sell tickets or give out seat numbers ahead of time so it’s best to get to the terminal about 2 hours before the time of departure to secure a seat.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: For TOTAL FARE, does that include the ferry ticket and terminal fee?
A: Yes. But double-check with the bus conductor if the terminal fee is really included. Because on some occasions, they make you buy it yourself when you get to the pier.

Q: Are these daily trips?
A: Yes these are daily trips.

Q: Can I buy tickets days before our trip?
A: No.

Q: Can I book online?
A: No, there’s no online booking.

Q: Are toddlers/infants free of charge?
A: Yes if they’ll just sit on your lap.

Q: Are there student and senior citizen discounts?
A: Yes, students and senior citizens get a 20% discount.

Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Pets are generally not allowed.

Q: Is your content reliable?
A: I try to keep it as reliable as possible by taking note of any changes every time I travel, which is every month.

Q: Your article says Cebu North Terminal but some sites say Cebu South Terminal for via Don Salvador. I’m confused?
A: It’s Cebu North Terminal. Cebu South Terminal to Bacolod is via Mabinay, which is a longer trip. There is no such thing as Cebu South Terminal to Bacolod via Don Salvador.

Q: Will the bus leave earlier than the expected departure time?
A: Sometimes. This usually happens at the Cebu North Terminal when there’s a bus available and all of the seats are already taken.

Q: How much are the jeepney fares for Bacolod and Cebu?
A: In Bacolod, the jeepney fare for regulars is ₱8.50 for the first 5 kilometers. While in Cebu, it’s ₱8.00.

Q: What time is the first/last trip? How long? How much is the fare?
A: Please take time to read the post ಠ‿ಠ Travel time, schedule, and fare are all listed above. If something’s unclear, then feel free to comment below or contact me 🙂

Thank you Elmer. Though my wife and I have never been to the Philippines, after much research we are considering living in Bacolod for up to 5 months each year. We currently live in Ventura, California. We will make our first trip to Bacolod in January for 3 weeks. Your blog will be very helpful to us. Thank you.
