Don Salvador Benedicto or Don Salvador, as what locals would usually call it, is a town located between Bacolod city and San Carlos city of Negros Occidental. It is the municipality after Murcia if you are coming from Bacolod. The roads leading to Don Salvador Benedicto are covered in asphalt and cement so for those who are asking if it’s rocky, for the most part, it isn’t.
However, the roads aren’t always straight so expect a few zigzag turns. So why go to Don Salvador? Well, for one thing, it has quite a number of tourist spots and attractions.

Sounds exciting huh! But hold on, first you need to know how to get to Don Salvador. As I said, the town is situated between San Carlos city, Bacolod city, and the town of Murcia. If you’re coming from Bacolod, then you will still pass by Murcia. And if you’re coming from Cebu, you will have to pass by San Carlos city.
GETTING TO DON SALVADOR BENEDICTO
To get from Bacolod to Don Salvador, you will need to head to the Bacolod South Bus Terminal first. When you get there, look for Ceres buses bound for San Carlos city. The total fare will not reach ₱100 as you will just be disembarking at Don Salvador Benedicto.
The buses are not air-conditioned so feel free to bring a fan or paypay with you. The total travel time from Bacolod to Don Salvador is 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes.
From Cebu or San Carlos
To get from Cebu to Don Salvador, you will need to head to the San Carlos city bus terminal where you will ride the bus bound for Bacolod. The total fare will be less than ₱50 as Don Salvador isn’t that far. Now to get to San Carlos, you must ride the ferry from Toledo city.
